The Tea Grotto has emerged as a leader in a new wave of conscious, experiential service models. We endeavor to engage the senses and nurture community through tea. Through our unique approach with sourcing tea, to the ways we build each and every business relationship, the Tea Grotto holds true to our vision of an integrated culture, the inter-connectedness we share with our thriving community. Our commitment to integrity applies to our teas, sourced from around the world, infused into unique blends as well as the food we serve. The Tea Grotto exists to empower our people and our customers to create meaningful connections, and amplify the message we share. For us, tea is the catalyst from which relationships are created and upheld.
Our Story | Driven By Tea
Our journey has been anything but ordinary. Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values, creating thoughtful, lasting connection through tea. Owned and operated by Brad Heller, the Tea Grotto was founded in 2004 in Salt Lake City.
What began as a passion for tea has evolved into connections greater than we could have imagined. We’re proud of where we’ve been and are even more excited for what’s ahead. What sets us apart isn’t just our tea—it’s the intention behind it. We take time to understand, teach, and create experiences through tea at every turn.
We are here to build something timeless. We are relationship focused. Through travels to Nepal, China, and beyond, the world of tea reveals a craft, a ceremony, a relationship with tea that we continue to share. With a blend of creativity and heart, we help experiential service models come to life. We treat our customers like partners and our work as a craft. In this craft, we are intertwined with the life and energy of The Tea Grotto, a synergistic relationship, reciprocal, the more we pour into each cup, the more we each receive.

I submitted myself to their guidance, and was introduced to a spectrum of teas so fresh, fragrant, and exquisitely nuanced, I nearly wept. Each sip revealed terroir, intent, and discipline. It is not hyperbole to say their collection rivals apothecaries and imperial tea courts alike. And what’s more…. the prices are not only fair, they are, dare I say, civilized.
My wife and I, jaded travelers, find ourselves routinely making the pilgrimage to this holy steeping ground. It is not merely worth the journey, it is necessary. A proper education in the leaf is found not in books, but in the quiet steam rising from a perfect cup at The Tea Grotto.
